Your standard public high school will have classes and opportunities for students to use computers and interact with programs like, MS Paint, Word, Excel and others. However, private schools do a better job at exposing students to technology and more advanced programs.

Choosing a School
If you are looking for a private school to send your student so that they may have exposure to the best education money can buy, it is important to do the research. Does he or she just need to improve their grades? Do they need to be involved in sports? Do they need the discipline that a military school can offer? These questions should be the earliest considerations when it comes to choosing what type of school they should attend.

Having the school be within an hour or two drive from your home is preferable because you will need to pick them up for holidays. Those holidays include Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s and Spring Break. You can also drive up any weekend you like to spend time with them. Take them to a movie and a restaurant and talk about what’s going on in their lives. Share with them what is going on in yours as well. Just because they are at a boarding school does not mean you cannot keep a close bond with them.
